My amazing pressed fall leaves have made many a wedding spectacular! All natural, all beautiful with amazing colors that will make any fall event or fall wedding a hit! Rachel's Flowers established in 2002 when I discovered my flower gardens had become more than just a flower bed. It was time to share my love of flowers with others. Located on Fox Island, Washington the flowers and plants have great soil conditions and plenty of rainwater on which to thrive. I fresh dig the plants just prior to shipping and the bulbs are dug after they have bloomed and properly rested. Most plants and bulbs are available for shipping only during the months they are dormant or can be shipped safely. Healthy plants upon arrival is very important to me. A little history.... I grew up in a family of 13 children. We always had a garden to feed us and also ran a family Orchard; selling at Farmer's Markets as well as commercially to local grocery stores and the fruit packing facilty to be shipped across the country. Flowers were also a big part of our life. So I guess I still have some of that farming running in my blood. Rachel's Flowers is a part time hobby/business for me and I do not have fancy commercial packaging. Being environmentally friendly I ship in recycled newspaper and plastic bags...after all, it is the quality of the plants I am more concerned with. I branched out to pressed fall leaves when I discovered there was quite a demand for real pressed leaves, not silk leaves. There are many beautiful maple varieties and other great fall colored trees in the area. Once I started with the fall wedding theme I started to add a few more fall themed items to my store.
